Ian joined the industry in the early Noughties, climbing through the ranks at Prospect Estate Agents before leaving his role as Residential Sales Managing Director to set up his own consultancy business in 2019. He has recently founded Avocado Property Berkshire and is well placed to discuss the challenges associated with setting up a self-employed hub style business. Ian has a tenacity and absolute will to win, and will offer some great insights.
David was a Director of Greene and Co in North London for a number of years before leaving the business to set up a bespoke employment cost solutions business. Looking to replicate the ‘American model’ of Estate Agency, The TMS Group has developed a unique framework and created a contract for services that has been approved by HMRC for use in the property sector. David will be on hand to advise on any compliance and legal issues.
Ian has a wealth of experience in the sector, having owned his own Agency business as well as serving as a Group Director with Connells for a number of years. His expertise in the recruitment markets and ownership of various recruitment platforms and his ongoing consultancy witheXp UK means he is well placed to offer some great insight and advice on the self-employed conundrum.
David comes from a corporate background, managing successful agencies along the South West coast before taking up a franchise with Meyers Estates. David wanted to do more with Estate Agency and be part of a business where the customer is the focus, giving them a first-class personal service. 3 years in and he is a household name in his territory and one of the most successful agents in Dorset. David will share his experiences with us and tell us what motivated him to take the plunge and go it alone.
